The Health Benefits of Working From Home

In the old world, I would routinely get up and drive 30 minutes to the office.  I would easily spend 60 minutes per day in my car driving to and from work (some days much longer).

Today, I take a 60-minute walk where on average I take 7,500 steps and burn around 400 calories.

I have more efficient workdays.  I spend more time with my family. My meetings are more productive. I get 7 hours of sleep almost every night.

I hope that more people are allowed and encouraged to work from home (who want to do so).

Nic Note:  You need to burn about 3,500 calories to lose one pound. Over the course of a 50 week work year (400 calories/day * 50 weeks * 5 days/week) = 100,000 calories or 28.5 pounds.
