When Success Isn’t Enough: Why High-Achieving Families Still Feel Financial Anxiety

Many successful corporate families that we’re working with have spent decades in achievement mode: Climbing ladders, earning promotions, and accumulating wealth.

Somewhere along the way, however, “more” became the default goal but “enough” was never defined.

What’s really going on?

By their mid-40s, most successful corporate families have hit major milestones:

• Comfortable income
• Substantial retirement savings
• A nice home
• Family vacations, private schools, maybe even a second home?

From the outside, they’re thriving. But internally, there’s often some anxiety.

They wonder:

“If we’re doing all this, why don’t we and when will we feel financially free?”

These families continue to chug along and while they’re not driven by greed, they’re often driven by uncertainty.

Without a clear definition of what enough is, it’s almost impossible to feel confident. Every milestone feels like another step towards an invisible target.

The questions:

• “When can we afford to take our foot off the gas?”
• “Could one of us shift careers or retire early?”
• “If we say yes to spending more time with family now, will we regret it later?”
•  “What if we misjudge the money and it’s not enough?”

If we’re not currently working together and you don’t have a plan in place, now is the time, please reach out.
